Added an extension to a concert pad along side the house and replaced cracked older concert pad. The original plan was to just do the extension, but after the excavation work on Monday I could see the old concert pad may be a problem as it was cracked all the way down the middle. Brad had left a voice mail and after a discussion with him about leaving the old concert or replacing it I decided it was better to replace it all so, as Brad explained, the pad could be anchored to the house and prevent the 2IN drop that had occurred with the old pad. It was great to have a contractor who saw a problem and suggested several solutions and be able to come up with the best one for both of us.
Front sidewalk was heaving in several places. Brad walked us through what would need to be done to remove old sidewalk, change curve due to large tree roots and how it would slope. In addition we added a sidewalk from driveway around garage to connect to deck behind garage, including a curved platform area by garage side door around to deck. Work was done well and we were consulted about any issues or changes required along the way. Brad & crew were very neat, cleaned up all extra concrete and other stuff -- plus they graciously moved top soil into other areas for our future use. When driveway needs repair or replacement, we will call McCurdy Concrete first.
